Description

Chronic pain is persistent or recurrent pain lasting longer than three months or pain occurring on at least half the days for six months or more.  Estimates suggest that chronic pain affects more than 20% of the global population. The best-practice management of chronic pain requires that clinicians identify both peripheral and central pain generators, then combine passive interventions, a healthy dose of self-care, and active measures.

In this 1-hour lecture, Dr. Steele will cover recent advances in pain neuroscience education, self-management, and non-pharmacologic therapies. During this hour, you will learn about these strategies matched with evidence-based treatments to manage chronic pain effectively.  The chiropractic profession is uniquely positioned to deliver this care—are you?
